Analog 2A treatment significantly induced G1 phase cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in PLS10 cells. Cells were treated with increasing concentrations of analog 2A (0‐20 μmol/L) and 20 μmol/L curcumin for 48 h. Cells were harvested for analysis of cell cycle distribution (A) and cell cycle regulated protein (B). Apoptotic cells were determined by Guava nexin (C) and protein expression was determined by western blot analysis. Data from a typical experiment are depicted, and similar results were obtained in three independent experiments. Level of protein expression was quantified by IMAGE J software.
