Group differences in the flanker interference effect. Significant group differences in alpha activity were found in the left anterior cingulate, right paracentral lobule, and left parietal regions, whereas significant theta differences were found in the left precentral gyrus. Controls exhibited stronger flanker interference responses in the left anterior cingulate, whereas responses were stronger in patients with type 1 diabetes in all other regions.
