Social Determinants of Engagement in Care are factors that influence the likelihood that someone would engage in care or that facilitate or hinder access to services. Illness level refers to the perception of how ill one is and how engaging with healthcare services will affect the perceived level of illness. Themes that emerged from the qualitative data are grouped accordingly.
