Values have been uniformly scaled so that the maximum value (at 60 μL min–1) matches the ratio between the referenced hydride signal integrals from the bulk sample SABRE measurement (Fig. 3a) and the alveolus SABRE measurement (Fig. 3b), which is about 50%.
