BALB/c mice were infected with 2 × 107 L. donovani promastigotes of different passages as indicated in the table. At 12 weeks, p.i. mice were sacrificed and parasite burden of the liver and spleen were determined by LDU and LDA. Data represent mean ± S.E.M of 3–5 animals per group.
