Vine health in year 5. Vine health was measured in the spring by counting the number of buds that expanded above the point of infection, as a percentage of that on control vines. Increase in bud break was calculated by first taking the average of the ratio of buds that successfully broke per cane by total buds, then setting the average of WT as the baseline, and calculating what percentage above baseline each transgenic line was.
