Here, and for the single-gene results in Table 1, pl, ql and n are fixed at the values p¯l, q¯l and n¯ given in Table 5, where the prior settings for the fitness parameters can also be found. The values of 0N (0ϵ) and 1N (1ϵ) required for the three-gene runs are as in Table 6. We obtain the distances d(1π^,πselind(θ^))=0.290 and d(1π^,πselgen(θ^)=0.067; since 1ϵ=0.112, we reject the independence assumption
