Participants	Adult mechanically ventilated ICU patients, expected: n = 90
Interventions	Intervention. Personalized music; receives personalized play‐list twice a day Control Non‐personalized music, receives standardized low beats per minute play‐list twice a day Attention control, receives audio‐book twice a day The hypothesis is that music therapy is feasible and effective in reducing delirium incidence, duration, and severity among critically ill patients in the ICU.
Outcomes	Number of participants who experience delirium (within 28 days) Average severity of delirium (average score on CAM‐ICU 7 per study arm) Delirium measured by CAM‐ICU
