  1. Physical health measured by Short Form 36 Health survey (SF36) Physical Component Summeray (PCS) score at 6 months after randomization.

  2. Mental health (SF 36), exercise capacity, muscle power, physical functional ability, ADL, quality of life, survival status and place of residence

  3. Delirium (CAM‐ICU)

  4. Ventilator‐free days

  5. Health economic outcomes
