Biosynthesis of QDs in presence of different NaCl concentrations by halophilic isolates. (A) The biosynthesis of QDs was evaluated in the halophilic isolates ASF1, UYSF5, DS2 and the control bacteria E. coli. The effect of NaCl (0, 2, 4, 6 and 8%) on QDs biosynthesis in presence or absence of cysteine (2 mM) was evaluated. (B) DS2 was exposed to QDs-biosynthesis conditions and QDs fluorescence after UV exposure was evaluated at different times of biosynthesis (0, 12, 16, 24 and 32 h).
