This figure provides a visual overview of our method. Intuitively, our method has two main components. The first component is a CNN that operates operates on the EMRs. The other component is a 2-layer GCNN which creates the label-specific attention vectors and label-vectors used for ranking using ICD-9 descriptions as input.
