Functional validation of the signal peptide of Ha18764 using a Magnaporthe oryzae mCherry secretion assay. The SP of Ha18764 can guide secretion of the mCherry lacking a signal sequence into the plant; hence, red fluorescence was observable in the barley cell nucleus.
