Participants in CONTROL INCOME and CONTROL PASSIVE GIVING received a lump-sum payment $\widehat{X}$ matching the distribution of the donated amounts in Dictator Stage I in the treatment conditions (see Appendix B in Supplementary Material for details on the matching procedure).
