KCF18 inhibits cytokine-induced transmigration of monocytes. HMEC-1 cells were pretreated with various concentrations of KCF18 for 1 hour and then stimulated with 20 ng/mL (A) TNF-α, (B) IL-1β, or (C) IL-6 for 18 hours; thereafter, THP-1 cells were allowed to transmigrate through the HMEC-1 monolayer. Values are mean ± SD from three independent experiments. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001 and ****P < 0.0001 as compared with control; ^#P < 0.05, ^##P < 0.01, ^###P < 0.001 and ^####P < 0.0001 as compared with cells stimulated with cytokines in the absence of KCF18.
