Table 10. Hertfordshire Cohort Study Vertical Impact on Bone in the Elderly (VIBE) study.

Objective: To characterise levels and patterns of physical
activity in older people and to investigate how
physical activity affects bone health, muscle
strength, physical capability, and osteoarthritis.
Methodology: Participants completed a postal questionnaire.
Wearable physical activity accelerometers were
delivered and returned by post. This study was
conducted in collaboration with the University of
Bristol.
