Collagen release was measured by ELISA in primary nasal fibroblasts treated with deferiprone in the absence (A) or presence (B) of L-Ascorbic acid-2 phosphate (ASC). Primary human nasal fibroblasts were treated with 1 mM, 5 mM, 10 mM and 20 mM deferiprone for 24 hours. Media only and L-Ascorbic acid-2 phosphate (ASC) acted as a negative and positive control respectively. Bars stand as means ± standard deviation (n = 4). (**p < 0.001, ***p < 0.0001).
