(A) DMXL2 levels at P0 in WT and KO tissues. Brain, heart, kidneys, adrenal glands, testes and ovaries displayed specific DMXL2 expression at birth, whereas western blotting detected no protein in the liver or pancreas. (B) In adults, DMXL2 was strongly detected in the brain and was also found in the pancreas and adrenal glands on western blots. By contrast, DMXL2 was not detected in adult skeletal muscles, heart, lungs, liver, spleen or kidneys. (C) DMXL2 was also detected in adult testes, and gave a weaker signal in the epididymides, seminal vesicles, ovaries, uterus horns and mammary glands (M. gland).
