HLA Class II Binding Assay Results. C. burnetii HLA class II epitope affinities for eight common DR alleles were assessed in competition binding assays. Peptide binding strength was classified according to IC50 value in the following affinity categories: very high (<0.1 μM), high (0.1–1 μM), moderate (1–10 μM), and low (10–100 μM). Epitopes with IC50 values >100 μM or with no dose-dependent response were considered non-binders.
