HepG2 cells were cultured in LPDS medium and treated with vehicle (0.1% DMSO) or MECC (0.05 and 0.1 mg/mL) for 24 h. (a) The amount of cell-surface LDLR was measured by flow cytometry analysis. (b) The cells were incubated with BODIPY^®-FL-LDL for 24 h, and the LDL uptake was determined using flow cytometry analysis.
