Filopodial characterization was carried out on N1E-115 cells expressing respective full lengths I-BAR family proteins and mCherry-actin binding protein (ABP). Time-lapse microscopy was carried out 24 h post-transfection. The data represent the scoring for number of filopodia per cell, filopodial lifetime and filopodial length18 as previously reported. Data is expressed as mean, +/− s.d (n = 10 cells). *Data from previously reported results is shown for comparison but excluded from statistical analysis.
