A probe containing mutations in the consensus TCF binding element (mutant TBE) was used as a negative control. (C). as in (B) except the biotinylated probe harboring the ancestral T variant was used in all reactions. As indicated below, increasing concentrations of unlabeled probes containing T or C were included in the binding reactions prior to precipitation.
