β-Peptide concentration-dependent calcein leakage from SUVs of the indicated phospholipid concentrations. Calcein leakage was monitored 10 min after incubation of β-peptides and SUVs (total [lipid] = 130 µM). To quantify calcein leakage, the fluorescence intensity at 515 nm was measured and normalized to the intensity obtained after adding 2% Triton X-100, corresponding to 100% calcein leakage. Error bars denote standard deviation (n = 3). Statistical analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA for β-peptide 1 vs. 2 (*), β-peptide 1 vs. 3 (†), and β-peptide 2 vs. 3 ( · ) (*, †, and · p 0.01). See also Figure S3 and Table S2.
