The effect of seed treatment on winter wheat yield structure (over-all plant height, tiller numbers, ear length, spikelets per ear, grains per ear, and the grain mass per plant) can be visualised by Principal component analysis (PCA) for 2015–16 and 2016–17. Plants were grown from pelleted and primed (red and dashed oval), pelleted (green) or untreated (black) seeds. Axis scales are the same for each biplot and the cumulative percentage covariance is shown for both principal axes.
