Seed treatments have small but significant effects on the percentage of normal grain (grey) and on the mean weight of poor grain (black) in winter wheat crop trials (2016–17). Grain was collected from plants grown from pelleted and primed (Pr) or untreated seeds (Ctrl). As no significant wheat variety effect was observed (proportion of normal grain, p = 0.08; weight of 10 grains, p = 0.46) data are pooled and means and standard errors (SE) shown. Means not connected by the same letter are significantly different (α = 0.05).
