27-hydroxycholesterol decreases cell proliferation in Caco2 and SW620 cells. MTT assay (A and B) and LDH assay (C and D) show that 24 hours treatment with 27-OHC reduces cell proliferation and does trigger cellular cytotoxicity in Caco2 at 300μM but not in SW620 cells respectively.
