Non-metric multidimensional scaling (nMDS) plots were constructed using Bray-Curtis (a) and Jaccard (b) dissimilarities. Stress values indicate a good fit in two dimensions. Heat maps (c) show relative abundance (log₂ transformed) of OTUs (operational taxonomic units). Red boxes indicate greater relative abundances, blue boxes correspond to lower values, and white boxes correspond to no detection of that particular OTU.
