IRTT experimental setup, similar to that in Liebi et al. (2015), Schaff et al. (2015). The sample is raster-scanned Inline graphic by a pencil-beam for different rotation and tilt angles α and β. Best practice is to distribute the angles α and β homogeneously on the hemisphere of sample orientations (Liebi et al., 2018), as shown on the inset sphere. The red arrow on the detector indicates a q vector in reciprocal space, and the two red circles enclose an example q range.
