293T cells stably expressing PB2opt were cotransfected with plasmids encoding an IAV luciferase reporter segment and the indicated IAV proteins. Luciferase activities in cell lysates were determined at 24 h post transfection. The results of a representative experiment carried out with triplicate samples are shown. Error bars indicate standard deviation. Similar results were obtained in three separate experiments. Two tailed paired students t-test was used to assess statistical significance.
