The diagram shows the design of the retrospective cohort study. The osteoporosis cohort included patients who were diagnosed with osteoporosis between January 2004 and December 2006. Each osteoporotic patient was matched with a non-osteoporotic subject. During the follow-up period of 10 years, the development and recurrence of BPPV were assessed in both cohorts.
