Ablation of Intestinal DMT1 in Hepc−/− Mice Causes Reductions in Body and Liver Weights and Increases in Spleen and Heart Weights
Body and organ weights were assessed in Hepc+/+/Dmt1fl/fl, Hepc−/−/Dmt1fl/fl, Hepc−/−/Dmt1int/+, and Hepc−/−/Dmt1int/int mice (male and female littermates) at 7 weeks of age. Shown are body weight (A) and relative liver (B), spleen (C), and heart (D) weights. Data were analyzed by two-way ANOVA and are presented as boxplots for n = 6–8 mice. Data shown in (C) and (D) were log10 transformed because of unequal variance before performing statistical analyses.
