(a) Time of onset of paediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome (PANS)-related symptoms measuring with the PANS/PANDAS Related Symptom Inventory (PPRSI) and (b) time of onset of severe psychiatric symptoms measured using the Signs of Severity Questionnaire (SOSQ). Each symptom could be rated as present at several times (i.e. both before and after onset). Disorder onset was defined during the interview. (c) and (d) Show the proportion of present symptoms reported to have an episodic versus non-episodic course.
