Carvedilol treatment did not affect body weight or food consumption. Treatment with low doses of carvedilol over the course of 4 days did not increase (a) body weight gain from the start of treatment (n=8) until the end of the treatment (n=8; p=NS, saline vs carvedilol) and nor did it affect (b) total food consumption between saline (n=8) and carvedilol-treated animals (n=8) over the course of the treatment (p=NS, saline vs carvedilol).
