MALDI-TOF/MS analysis of mycolic acids from dormant and reactivated MTB. Mycolic acids were isolated from MTB subjected to dormancy and re-aeration, and MALDI-TOF/MS in positive mode was used to generate the m/z. The masses were matched with MycoMass database to identify classes of mycolic acids. Numbers of mycolic acids identified under various conditions are depicted: alpha (a), methoxy (b), carboxy (c), epoxy (d) and keto (e).
