The trans-added, S₆- and I₆-containing peptides interact distinctly with the α-HL, despite their net charge and length. From the statistical analysis of the characteristic dwell-times resembling peptides association and dissociation from the nanopore, we calculated values of the voltage-dependent association (k_on) and dissociation (k_off) reaction rate constants of: S₆-(Pe6) (a,b); and I₆-(Pe4) (c,d). The dotted lines represent the upper and lower confidence limits mark the 95% confidence intervals for the estimated average values [40].
