The EWIS fitted logistic regression models of adult-onset asthma on BMI change, residuals of DNA methylation at a single CpG site, and their multiplicative interaction upon adjustment for age, sex, education level, study area, pack-years of cigarettes smoked in life, bench time, and white blood cell composition estimates for B cells, CD4 T cells, CD8 T cells, natural killer cells, monocytes, and eosinophils. The CpGs assigned to the pathway enriched with p < 0.05 are highlighted in colors. No line of significance was drawn, as no CpG reached genome-wide significance after multiple testing corrections.
