APE1 activities affect the gene expression of VEGF. HUVECs were pretreated with myrecitin, E3330 or DMSO at 10 μM for 2 h and were then cultured in hypoxic conditions (1% O₂). VEGF mRNA levels were measured by qPCR after 8 h of hypoxic culture (A).
