Tests of Model 3 showed that after removing the non-significant path between parental rejection and school engagement, there was an indirect effect of perceived discrimination, and sequential indirect effects of perceived discrimination and school engagement, in the association between parental rejection and problematic mobile phone use. Note. Although not displayed for reasons of clarity, tests of this model also included paths among controlled variables (i.e., age, gender, SES) and each of the variables in the model.
