BH4 levels in hearts undergoing I/R with and without 78c treatment. BH4 levels in hearts subjected to 30-minute ischemia/30-minute reperfusion with and without 78c treatment (10 μM) were compared with levels in nonischemic hearts (control). In untreated hearts, BH4 levels fell by ∼65% compared with nonischemic control hearts.
