Whole genome comparison as visualized by BRIG (Alikhan et al., 2011). CDS of the pan genome was used as reference and the genomes of both microorganisms were aligned to this reference. As a result, the structures of the genomes and the pan genome did not reflect the physical structure of the chromosomes or plasmids. The core genome was approximately half of the pan genome and was detected from the beginning until about 1,300 kbp. Strain specific genes were displayed in the range of approximately 1,300 kbp until the end.
