Predictions for the variable link tension coefficient, ε/ε0=S22 in planar elongational flow as a function of dimensionless elongation rate Wi for N=100 (Z33 entanglements) and various values of ε0. The thick lines give the analytical predictions of Equation (23) when ε0=0 (dark blue) and 0.9 (dark yellow). The dependency of Γ1 on ε0 determines their offsets and is relatively weak for any N. For N>2 the coefficient Γ1 decreases monotonically with increasing ε, starting from Γ1=0.125 at ε=0. For any N20 one has Γ10.081 at ε=0.9 (and Γ10.078 at ε=1).
