All toxins were added in a concentration of 50 μM. Black bars represent the uptake with added uremic toxin (+ 50 μM uremic toxin) and white bars represent uptake without added putative inhibitor (without), determined under the same experimental conditions. Data are expressed as means ± SEM. All experiments were performed in two experiments with n = 2 (n = 4).
