Effects of d-methionine on myogenesis (myogenin and MyoD) and specific E3-ubiquitin ligase (MAFbx and MuRF-1) mRNA levels in cisplatin-induced C2C12 myotube atrophy. C2C12 myotubes were treated with Dulbecco’s modified Eagle medium (DMEM), 50 µM cisplatin or 50 µM cisplatin + 5 mM d-methionine for up to 24 hours. (A) Cellular morphological changes.
