While the second column shows the raw output of our analysis, the third column gives the numbers after correcting for knots that are only likely to arise from the closure. All knots with termini within 20 beads of the ends of the chain are discarded. Only simple knots are shown as our detection of the knot termini is not reliable for composite knots.
