Scheme 2. Pd-Cap1-promoted uncaging of 1 and 3. Conditions: a suspension of Pd-Cap1 (0.2 mL, 8.33 mg mL–1) in EtOH was centrifuged (8000 rpm) for 10 min. The supernatant was removed and a mixture of H2O : DMSO (4 : 1) was added, followed by addition of 1 or 3. The mixture was stirred at 37 °C, under air, for the indicated time and centrifuged (8000 rpm) prior to quantification by fluorescence analysis (for 2) or by HPLC (for 4).
