The burnout dimensions of the MBI emotional exhaustion (EE), cynicism (CY), reduced Personal Efficacy (rPE), and the total score were regressed on age, sex, and the personality factors neuroticism (N), extraversion (E), openness to experience (O), agreeableness (A), and conscientiousness (C) of the Big Five Inventory (BFI) in Step 1 and additionally on need for cognition (NFC) in Step 2 (N = 4.134). All changes in R2 from Step 1 to Step 2 that met the Bonferroni-corrected significance level of p = 0.05/4 = 0.0125 are depicted in bold.
