Schematic of the construction process of the lncRNA-mRNA co-expression network between patients with DCM and controls. Two lncRNA-mRNA co-expression networks were initially constructed based on co-expressed lncRNA-mRNA pairs in each sample group. Next, the ‘lost’ and ‘obtained’ networks were identified based on the two networks, which included pairs appearing only in normal and DCM samples, respectively.
