FIGURE 3. — Assembly of the nucleolar pre-60S particle. Updated model of the early assembly of large ribosomal subunit precursors. Stepwise recruitment of ribosome assembly factors is concluded by cleavage of the B0 site by Rnt1 and release of the emerging pre-60S. Rearrangement of this particle induces the departure of several factors and the formation of the nucleolar pre-60S that was observed previously.
