Adhesion of melanoma cells and intercalation between endothelial cells. B16/F10 melanoma cells were seeded on the top of confluent RBEC monolayers and left for 8 hours. Representative transmission electron micrographs show: a melanoma cell attached to brain endothelial cells in close proximity to the interendothelial junctions (A); a melanoma cell attached distant to the junctions (B) and a melanoma cell intercalated between endothelial cells (C).
