ST and SV are specified in (a) with red and violet dotted lines, respectively. The effect of ioversol contrast agent in changing pixel intensities along ST and SV is apparent from the images. The slow rate of change in image brightness is consistent with the theoretical flow path shown in Fig. 2 where diffusion is the dominant mechanism for carrying contrast agent to the middle and apical turns.
