GPAT catalyzes the esterification of a fatty acid moiety from acyl-CoA to the sn-1 position of G3P to form LPA. LPAAT catalyzes the esterification of a fatty acid moiety from acyl-CoA to the sn-2 position of G3P to form LPA.
